Overview of 2000 Clallam County John Doe
The victim was located dead in his tent in the Sol Duc back country in Olympic National Park, which is located in northwestern Washington in the north central part of the Olympic Peninsula, in July 11, 2000. He had full camping gear with him. A gun was in his hand and he appeared to have shot himself.
