Overview of April Cooper

April Cooper, a first-grade student at Cottonwood Elementary School, was last seen walking to the arcade at the Woodchuck Campground located near her Rancho, CA home on December 13, 1986. She never arrived at the arcade and has never been seen again. Earlier that day, she had went to work at a thrift store with her mother and a neighbor, William Bannister, offered to babysit her. Bannister was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1998 for her homicide. Justin Bannister, William Bannister's son, said that his father admitted to killing Cooper in 1989. Cooper's body has never been found.
