On June 5, 1994, a feed company delivery man made a routine stop at Bhagwan “Moses” Lall's exotic bird ranch, a five acre property he had leased since 1992. The delivery driver was surprised to find the ranch deserted and hundreds of exotic birds (worth almost $700,000 in total) left unattended. The deliveryman had expected to find either Bhagwan "Moses" Lall, his aunt Lilawattie "Lila" Bueratan (who is also missing), or the two ranch hands that they employed.
