Brittanee Drexel, a teenager from Rochester, New York, disappeared on April 25, 2009, while visiting Myrtle Beach for spring break. Despite her mother's objections, Brittanee had gone to the popular destination to meet with friends.

Her remains were found in May of that year in Georgetown County, South Carolina, and authorities believe that she was kidnapped, strangled, and buried by a man named Raymond Douglas Moody. He kidnapped and strangled Brittanee the same day she disappeared.

Moody was convicted of the crime and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
