Overview of Cheryl Mason
The information surrounding Cheryl Mason's death is limited. Cheryl was 39 years old. As a teenager, Cheryl was a champion roller skater. As Cheryl got older, she married and had six children. However, Cheryl's life was not perfect. Two of her children were living in foster care, and Cheryl became addicted to cocaine, which ultimately led her to sex work.
Cheryl was last seen on August 6, 1996. She was later reported missing after she missed one of her daughter's birthdays, which was highly unlike her. Cheryl's mother reported her missing. On October 13, 1996, Cheryl's nude body was found behind the Acme Insulations building in Grand Rapids.

Many have theorized that Cheryl's case may be connected to a string of 17 unsolved missing and murdered women during the mid-1990s in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
