Although little is known about the life of Darvell Barra, that doesn't make his story any less important. Darvell Barra was only 18 years old when he passed away, and he had numerous family and friends who loved him.

On Monday, 03/09/2015, a little after 7 am, Darvell's lifeless body was found behind an Oak tree in front of a home located at 8023 Vanderkloot Ave in New Orleans. A homeowner found Darvell with his hands folded across his body. Some neighbors speculate that his body may have been dumped where he was found. However, an ATF ballistics dog was brought in and located 1 shell casing near the curb at the crime scene. Detectives planned to perform ballistics testing to determine whether the casing matches the rounds that killed Darvell.

Authorities hope someone will come forward with information. This case is still open.
