Overview of Denise Sheehy
July 7, 1970: It was a lazy summer day in Queens. Denise had spent the afternoon chatting with her boyfriend on the phone because he was away in Pennsylvania visiting a sick relative. Around 5pm, Lorraine, Denise’s sister, phoned home from her job in Manhattan to let her mother know she was on her way home. Denise and her mother began to prepare a dinner in celebration of Lorraine’s 19th birthday. While they were working, Denise’s mom confronted her daughter about smelling of alcohol. In a move likely repeated by many teenagers across the world, Denise became angry and stormed out of the family's apartment. Soon after, a neighbor, who was going into the apartment building, reports having seen Denise climb over a fence, and exiting the apartment complex.
Denise has not been seen since.
