Overview of Gordon Brehm

It was the suicide of Gordon's ex-brother-in-law, James MacTavish, that led to the discovery of Gordon Brehm's disappearance.

When a next of kin was being sought after MacTavish's death in 2013, investigators learned that MacTavish's ex-wife, Beverly Brehm (Gordon's sister), had been missing for approximately five years. And that her brother, Gordon was also missing.

Gordon and his sister, Beverly Brehm, had been living with MacTavish in a home in Dayton, Nevada after Beverly and MacTavish divorced in 2008. But it wasn't until 2013, following MacTavish's death that it was discovered both Gordon and Beverly hadn't been seen or heard from in years, with a last known confirmation of Beverly still being alive in November of 2008.

Both brother and sister had been missing for upwards of five years before anyone noticed. Unfortunately, this was largely due to Gordon and Beverly not remaining in contact with other family members who would have noticed their disappearance.

Since discovering Gordon (and Beverly) missing in 2013, detectives have made little headway in finding either of them.
