Overview of Jeremy Crocker
Jeremy Crocker was last seen at the Los Angeles Central Library in Los Angeles, California on December 9, 1996. He had left his home earlier that day at 1:00 p.m., taking a bus and a subway to the library where he was researching the TWA Flight 800 crash that occurred in July of the same year.
Despite his planned return home, Crocker never made it back, and he has not been seen since. At the time of his disappearance, he may have been carrying up to $200 in cash.
Just five days before his disappearance, Crocker had taken part in a radio talk show to discuss the plane crash. He believed a missile was responsible and had spent months researching it, interviewing baggage handlers at Los Angeles International Airport and Ontario Airport, and posting his findings online.
Although a conservative talk show host claims to have received mail from Crocker on December 9, which was postmarked December 10, the day after he was last seen, his whereabouts remain unknown. Crocker held a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in medical science from the California Institute of Technology, and he was employed as an engineer at the time of his disappearance.
Despite the fact that it is uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning, Crocker's case remains unsolved, and authorities believe he may be a patient in a hospital or nursing home. Some agencies may list his date of disappearance as December 9, 1997.
