29-year-old Lelia Faulkner had recently moved back in with her parents and daughter after a break-up with her live-in boyriend Blane Gralheer.

On July 4, 2017, Lelia's parents Susan and Rick were upstairs getting Lelia's daughter ready for a 4th of July event when they heard Lelia exit the home through the front door around 7:00 p.m. Lelia had not planned to go to the event with them, so they didn't think much about it and did not check to see who she left with. or what direction she was traveling when she left.

Lelia had not returned the following morning, but it wasn't unusual for her to stay away from home for a night or two. However, when one day turned to two and then three with no contact, Susan and Rick began to worry. When Lelia still had not returned by July 7th, Susan and Rick contact the Pike County Sheriff's Office to file a missing person report. Because Lelia had a history of leaving for extended periods of time, PCSO would not take the report at the time and told her parents to contact her friends to see if they had been in contact with her. Two weeks later, with still no contact from Lelia, her parents returned to PCSO and filed the report.

In 2018, Lelia's parents told True Crime Daily that Lelia andBlane had a terrible argument through text the day she disappeared, with Lelia accusing him of leaving her for another man. The texts also included allegations about money and drugs, which Susan and Rick admit Lelia was struggling with at the time.

Investigators have stated Lelia's disappearance is abnormal as they have not been able to trace her cell phone at all nor have her bank accounts been accessed since her disappearance. There was also no indication that Lelia had asked anyone to pick her up that evening. They did, however, discover texts on Susan's phone Lelia had sent approximately 6 days before she went missing saying she was afraid of Blane.

In an interview with Dateline, Susan said Lelia was pregnant by another man. In that same interview, PCSO Lt. Johnson said they felt like that could have been one reason for the break up. He added that Blane had been questioned and given a polygraph, but those results were inconclusive and the examiner wasn't sure Blane was being entirely truthful. When asked to take a second polygraph, Blane refused.

There is a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the finding of Lelia or her remains.
