Overview of Lesa Cunningham
Lesa Cunningham and her young son, Chris, were last seen by a friend in Pomona, California. They had visited Lesa's brother in the area before going shopping with their friend. After dropping the friend off, they planned to head to Slater Bros. market on Riverside Drive and Yorba Avenue in Chino, California. The mother and son lived in an apartment with Lesa's boyfriend, also located on Yorba Avenue, and were expected to be home by 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. that evening. However, they never arrived home and were never heard from again. Two months after their disappearance, on September 9, Lesa's abandoned 1987 Toyota Tercel with temporary license plates was discovered in downtown San Diego, California. The car's stereo and speakers were missing, but there were no fingerprints or signs of a struggle found. Lesa had no history of leaving without notice, and she did not pick up her last paycheck or access her bank account following her disappearance. She was employed as a dental assistant in Pomona. Lesa and Chris are missing under suspicious circumstances, and their cases remain unsolved.
