Overview of Marcus Virgin
On May 8, 2003, Marcus drove to Mobile, Alabama with three acquaintances, where they purchased a codeine-laced drug cocktail. That evening, he called his uncle and said he would be home shortly, but he never arrived and has not been heard from since. His friends claim they dropped him off near railroad tracks behind his grandmother's house in Pensacola, Florida, but his relatives never saw him.
At the time of his disappearance, Virgin was wanted by law enforcement for drug charges, habitual criminal traffic offenses, resisting arrest and failure to pay child support. Despite this, his family and girlfriend say it is out of character for him to not contact them for an extended period of time.
In 2007, Virgin's car was found with a small sample of blood in the trunk, but DNA testing was not possible at the time. In 2019, the DNA evidence was resubmitted and used to charge David Lasha Dale with first-degree murder in Virgin's case. Keishaun Irby was also arrested and charged with murder in connection to the case. Both men are awaiting trial and foul play is suspected in Virgin's disappearance.
