Mark Joseph Himebaugh was last seen when his mother left their rural New Jersey home to run an errand. According to his mother, when she left the home, Mark was watching firefighters extinguish a minor brush fire approximately a quarter mile away from their house. On the evening of the day that Mark disappeared, investigators located Mark's left shoe at Sunday Beach, which is approximately 75 yards from his home. Several unconfirmed sightings of Mark were reported to police in the following days, though none have been confirmed by police. Today, officials continue to believe that Mark was abducted, though little-to-no new information has come to light in the more than 30 years that have passed since his disappearance.
