Melissa Hasley went missing between 11:45 p.m. and 1:45 a.m. on an unknown date in Des Moines, Iowa. She was last seen at an apartment complex on Grand Avenue after attending a party at Oak Ridge Apartments. She is believed to have left the building through an alley door on the north side, but no one saw her do so.

Hasley has a history of drugs and sex work, but her family did not believe she would have abandoned her family. Her older sister was murdered in 2006, but the killing was not related to her disappearance. Melissa's case remains unsolved.
