Ryan RaNeal Armwood was only 23 years old when he lost his life. There are over 50 posts on Ryan’s online obituary guest book, made by family and friends, and just by reading them, you can tell how much he was loved. A neighbor of his stated he was well-known in the neighborhood and liked to listen to music. “Everyone knew who he was,” she said. “He was a cool dude. I never saw him get into it with anybody.”

It was a beautiful sunny day with the temperature reaching 72 degrees on Saturday, 01/30/2016. But sometime between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm, the temperature was already starting to drop. Ryan was standing in the driveway of a home on the 1500 block of Fairchild Street when someone ran up to him and opened fire, shooting him multiple times. Witnesses say the shooter fled on foot. By the time the authorities arrived, Ryan had already passed away.

Homicide detectives who worked the scene had no suspects or motives. This case is still open.
