22-year-old Tamborah Brown was last seen leaving his mother's mobile home on Reams Dr. in Mobile, AL on February 15, 2002, and was never seen again. Tamborah and his mother were reported to have a very close relationship, with him visiting her almost every day, but in the months prior to his disappearance he'd become withdrawn and sullen and began visiting her less frequently.

A few months prior to Tamborah's disappearance, he was arrested on three charges of robbery, the first serious trouble he'd ever been in. He maintained his innocence, saying he'd been framed. Shortly after he bailed out of jail, he disappeared. Paul "Bubba" Murray, a representative of Lucky Bonding - the company who posted bail for Tamborah - testified at a bond forfeiture hearing that informants told his employees that Tamborah had been kidnapped, killed by drug dealers who had dumped his body in a Mississippi swamp. Satisfied with the story, the forfeiture case was dropped. Later the robbery charges were also dropped and the pending warrants for his arrest were withdrawn.

Little information has been released by Mobile Police Department regarding the information, but they have stated foul play is suspected.
