Tammy Kay Ferguson lived with her husband, at the old Leland Mobile Home Park on Old Fayetteville Road. She was known to frequently use a pay phone at Trexler Hardware and Rental located at Village Road in Leland, so she could call her mother in Alabama. Tammy's mother told the police the last time she spoke to her daughter, Tammy said she was returning home to Alabama once she received her check.
