Overview of Woodrow Grimland
Woodrow Wilson Grimland was last seen while traveling from California to Texas in 1990.
Woodrow left his home in Needles, CA in early May of 1990 to travel to Plainview, TX to visit relatives. On his trip, he stopped in Flagstaff, AZ to visit with his son, Ronald, and his family. He was last officially seen leaving their home on May 9, 1990. Later in the investigation we learn that that evening, Woodrow was seen by employees of a truck stop in Clines Corner, NM.
Woodrow was reported missing two days later, on May 11, 1990 by his family to Needles, CA authorities. In the following days, his son, Ronald, and his wife, Janet, traveled the same route from Flagstaff, AZ to Plainview, TX to search for Woodrow and to hang flyers along the route. During this trip, they learn about the sighting at the truck stop.
Where the case stands today.
After an unsuccessful attempt to have the popular tv show ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ cover Woodrow’s case in October of 1990, there hasn’t been any movement in Woodrow’s case. In an Arizona Daily Sun article published in February of 1993, Woodrow’s family members admit that they can sympathize with the police, though they were not actively searching for Woodrow. If you have any information regarding Woodrow's whereabouts or his disappearance, please contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department at (760) 326-9200.
